Graduation Show masters Frank Mohr Institute

From 25 - 28 of June the Graduation Show of the Masters of the Frank Mohr Institute takes place in the Akerk in Groningen.

Students from the four Master’s programmes – Painting, MADtech (Media, Art, Design & Technology), iRAP (interRelational Art Practices) and MAPs (Materials in Artistic Practices) – all part of the Master in Fine Art and Design, will present their final projects over the course of four days. 

The Graduation Show is free to the public and open to anyone curious about the creators of the future, from art lovers and prospective students to professionals in the field.

What is your basic unit?

Every artist has one: a quiet building block that underlies everything they make. This question what is your basic unit? emerged from conversations in our studios, and it stayed with us. It became the lens through which we began to look at this year's graduation work.
For some artists, the unit is time. For others, a recurring shape, a material, a gesture. Or a process: creating tension, stirring things up, finding a way through. That inner engine gives each artwork its own rhythm and language.

During this graduation show, we invite you to ask: what drives these artists? What is at the core of their creative process?

Step into the worlds of MADtech, iRAP, MAPs, and Painting and encounter video art, installations, paintings, and performances by our graduating students. Expect collisions: between artists, art lovers, experts, and the simply curious. Different worlds meeting, ideas blending.
