Minerva Art Academy is once again presenting the work of over 250 graduating artists, designers, performers, and art teachers at unique venues in Groningen and Leeuwarden. Both the bachelors and masters programmes will present their work, performances, installations, and (artistic) research to a broad audience ranging from art lovers to industry professionals. Bachelors students have spent four years and masters students two years working toward this moment, and they will showcase all the knowledge and skills they have acquired in these free graduation shows.

The Minerva Academy for Popular Culture in Leeuwarden kicks off the season with its annual graduation festival at the Neushoorn pop venue in Leeuwarden on May 28. The evening features a vibrant program of over thirty performances by graduates of the Bachelors programme in Popular Culture.

The Graduation Show for the Masters in Art Education (Master Kunsteduactie), formerly Reuring, will take place on June 5, 2026, at the former Camera Cinema on Hereplein in Groningen. The graduates will present their research in the field of art education in various “scenes,” as a tribute to this historic cinema. This master’s program was recently named once again one of the best at Hanze University and ranks among the top programs in the country.

New this year is the Frank Mohr Institute’s Masters Graduation Show. Previously, students in these masters programs were part of a larger graduation show alongside the bachelors students. This year, both groups have their own event. The show will take place from June 25 through 28 at the Akerk in Groningen. More than thirty students from the Fine Art & Design masters programmes will present their work in the beautiful setting of this historic building in the city center.

Summer kicks off with the Graduation Show featuring the bachelors students of Academie Minerva. The show will take place from July 2 through 5 at various locations throughout the city: the Academy’s own buildings on Gedempte Zuiderdiep and Praediniussingel, Kunstpunt, Block C, ARTisBOOK, and SIGN. More than 200 students will showcase what they have learned over the past four years in the bachelor’s programs in Design, Fine Art and Design in Eduaction, Fine Art, or Popular Culture.

All graduation shows are free to attend, and everyone is welcome.
