een brave jongen bijt

Kasper Heijne (2001) creates humorous illustrations with a rough edge, in which he plays with expectations and addresses social issues in a light-hearted way. Through a bold colour palette and strong contrast, cinematic scenes emerge in which geometric shapes and figurative illustrations come together.

This can be seen in A Good Boy Bites, in which a dog becomes entangled in a bloody mafia story. As the boundaries between good and evil begin to blur, the question arises: do the ends justify the means?

A fondness for crude humour and cynical remarks has laid the foundation for an outspoken personality that likes to push boundaries and occasionally cross them. Smear yourself with shit, death is merely a concept and you choose to believe in it, piss all over it, kick against it, the world is ugly, art is ugly, you are even uglier, do whatever you can’t resist, smoking tastes good and alcohol is good for me, in the end we too are merely a grain of sand in a desert, a drop in the ocean, take a break and enjoy.
