Uxía González Fernández’s artistic practice is driven by obsession—repeating, preserving, and distorting images, words, and materials until they reveal new meanings. She examines how expression, embodiment, and perception shift through processes of accumulation and transformation, often using layered, obscured, or delicate materials that reflect the instability of memory and identity. Moving between physical and conceptual realms, she views language and matter as fluid, ever-changing entities, rejecting fixed interpretations in favor of ambiguity and openness.
