Ephemeral Monument

The soluble nature of the Monument reflects the inexorability of the passage of time and the precariousness of memory. It's no longer an immutable and enduring symbol, but an event destined to dissolve, like memories beyond our control. The work suggests that community itself, not its physical representation, is the essence of being together and sharing.

The artist explores the tension between the eternal and the ephemeral in a human dimension. He attempts to stimulate a dialogue on fundamental themes of existence. Through ephemeral materials such as salt and sugar, he reflects on the transitory nature of our certainties and the inescapable fragility of human control over time and memory, aiming to rediscover a sense of community. His works engage the public in collective and interactive experiences, inviting them to confront universal questions about memory. He indirectly provokes contemporary perceptions of society by explicitly seeking to restore the collective cohesion he recognizes in the first settled human communities. The archaeological aesthetic of his works carries with it this restorative value of a collective dimension of human experience recognized in primordial artifacts.
