house tree party
When it becomes clear that almost all of Guus' friends are leaving Groningen, he is left with a lost feeling. With whom will there be chatting, eating, drinking, dancing, laughing, cuddling, living, partying, bonviving, living? What if all those departing people are forced to stay with him and close to him: in the same house? A search for a shape for this dream house begins.
At the same time, another quest begins for the spatial design student: how to live in this complicated world? With drawings, collages, texts and more, an answer is sought to far too complex questions, about who he is and how to deal with all those other people and with yourself.
Slowly, these two quests become one: the shape of the house is influenced by the things that Guus discovers in that other quest. The choices that are made about the house expose things that were previously unclear.
Ultimately, the result is a house that is not only a dream home but also a reflection on what it is like to be young and develop, or in a broader sense to be human and to live in this world. A place where hopefully a lot of chatting, eating, drinking, dancing, laughing, cuddling, living, partying, bonviving, living can be done.
