In her work, Nina Burger (2000) explores the intrigue of the small, seemingly trivial feelings, thoughts, and experiences that connect us. Her work starts from the idea that while we can never fully understand another person’s inner world, we still share the strange and often unexplainable experience of being human, that often resides most in simple experiences.

In her recent work, she explores the importance of reincorporating play into our lives. Through playing, building without intent and working intuitively she taps into a childlike imagination, both as a method and a theme. Nina works most with analogue techniques, specifically ceramics and painting.
