Cody - Niemandsland
The Groningen-based artist Cody (23) moves effortlessly between hip-hop, pop and R&B. With a sound that is as honest as it is infectious. He balances vulnerability and strength, carried by personality and rhythm. Ever since he first sat behind a drum kit as a child, rhythm has been the foundation of his music, something that still resonates in his distinctive sound.
In 2025, Cody was named Ster van het Noorden, establishing him as one of the promising new voices from the Northern Netherlands. On stage, he delivers an energetic and connecting live show where warmth and contrast come together.
With Niemandsland, Cody presents a personal graduation project about uncertainty, nuance and connection. In a time when many stories seem to be told in black and white, he explores the space in between: the no man’s land where doubt, change and humanity exist.
The music moves between intimate moments and a layered live band featuring drums, guitar, piano and vocals. The result is a vulnerable yet powerful sound that feels both personal and relatable. Niemandsland invites the audience to pause in that in-between space, where we might be most human.
