Bär
Bär is the live techno alias of Bjorn Nanninga, an artist and producer from the north of the Netherlands. While many acts today perform using USB-drives filled with other people’s tracks, Bär deliberately chooses a fully live approach. Working with self-produced material, each set is performed live and unfolds differently every time. His performances bring together energy, control, and instinct.
Bär’s sound is hypnotic, energetic, and physical. Tight rhythms and repetitive structures build tension and release in a way that is felt throughout the body. This is techno you don’t just hear; you experience it. Driven by a hardware-based live setup, each performance carries a raw edge that makes every show unique. What happens on stage cannot be recreated exactly; and that is precisely the point.
Behind the intensity lies a clear vision. Bär does not see the dancefloor as a place to escape, but as a space to become present. In a time where we are constantly overwhelmed by stimuli, pressure, and digital distraction, his live sets create a moment of collective focus and release. The energy is high, but intentional; intense, yet controlled.
