In her practice, Vlada Chernavina returns to the stories, myths, and childhood memories tightly connected to her culture. By blending traditional techniques with contemporary elements, she develops a symbolic visual language that translates personal narratives into universal human emotions. Vlada’s works invite the viewer to dive into a very intimate setting and experience profound feelings - love, sorrow, nostalgia, longing, and joy. With a deep appreciation for classical craftsmanship, she pays great attention to details and materials, transforming each artwork into a precious personal artifact. Driven by a lifelong fascination with anthropology, her graduation project serves as both an artistic and a scientific inquiry into a fundamental question: Why do humans need art?
