LUSTFUL SEATS: DESIRE&DESIGN
Sezin Anah is a graphic designer whose work moves between art and design, though always staying loyal to the aspects: rhythm, stimulation, and fusion.
Lustful Seats is about the wait.
The wait for a table, the wait for a menu, or maybe all of this reversed: the wait for the customer, so that as a dish, you can finally get close enough to flirt. A restaurant is not only a place where food is consumed, but a structure where desire is established, arranged, delayed, and eventually served.
The project uses food and romance as a framework to explore how desire can be implemented as a graphic design system. Anticipation becomes a method for restructuring and challenging traditional visual communication guidelines. Through interrupted typography, hazy imagery, interconnected layout, and printed matter, the work investigates how a graphic design piece can make the viewer look closer, preferably at least twice.
