Saskia Bruggers is an artist, born in Scheemda, the Netherlands. She pays attention to detail and focuses on the visual. She searches for positive meanings in life — picks up all the little pieces, places them side by side and asks herself: what does this mean? And that? All of this she processes in her art. She is open to other interpretations of her work, because meaning also arises in the eyes of the beholder.
As an illustrator, Saskia sees the world visually. She loves working with bold colours, because her mind is full of them. But above all, she wants to make herself happy with her work and show her emotions. She is proud of who she is.
This artwork is about celebration, love and care — regardless of who we are and where we come from. The 14 illustrations are made with silkscreen.
