Between Clouds and Sky

Sam Dahlke (2002) 
In my comics, illustrations and character art I frequently explore themes such as queerness, self-identity, trauma and political topics, while working mainly with watercolour and digitally. 
In my Comic “Between Clouds and Sea” the protagonist is on a journey over an endless bridge, surrounded by water. Loneliness, overthinking, the lack of connection between people and the frustration it brings, are the topics he is confronted with in this comic while no end is in sight, and he has no choice but to keep driving. The colour blue is playing a significant role in my project, standing for two of the most important parts of the environment in the comic, the sky and the sea and therefore somewhat represents the endlessness and loneliness.
