Learning How to Care

Once worn, thrown away, and overlooked, these textiles are gathered, taken apart, and transformed into something new. Through yarn reclaimed from second-hand sweaters, reused textiles, and naturally dyed materials, the work gives new value to materials that have already been used.
Created through slow and careful labor, the piece invites viewers not only to look, but also to touch. Through touch and texture, the work encourages a reconnection with materials and nature in a world focused on speed and overconsumption. By transforming discarded materials into something meaningful, the work reflects on what we throw away, what we choose to keep, and what still deserves care.
