medewezenlijkheid in het klankgebergte
Joy de Vegt (1999) is a multidisciplinary maker and art educator. In her artistic-educational practice, she explores the words and worlds of ‘medewezenlijkheid’ and ‘het klankgebergte’: being together in the world within the poetic landscape of sound, voice and language. She explores these concepts through (collective) drawing, writing, conversation, poetry, documentation, mapping, sound experiments, and by facilitating moments that invite reflection, connection, and play. In doing so, she hopes to create space for encounter, reflection, improvisation, association, and wonder. The process and the journey itself are visible and essential elements in sharing the work. Within her creative processes, she meanders between personal observations and collective exchange. She invites disciplines beyond visual art such as music, poetry, and theatre in the process. The boundaries between process and outcome, image and language, beginning and end, may blur. She hopes to create a space for understanding, listening, and whispering.
