Mia´s alter Schulhof

It is very rarely the case that cultural scenes emerge in a small-town environment. The problem behind the shortage of cultural offerings is the small number of locations that take the initiative to host events, concerts, readings, exhibitions, etc. One of the very few trying to bring culture to a small town is the “KulturEtage” in Ankum, a place in northern Germany. However, they repeatedly complained about low visitor numbers and poor recognition. The lack of brand awareness and consistency has proven to be the main reason why the “KulturEtage” has not yet been able to establish itself with a regular audience.

The solution approach: Rebranding!

A focus on classical branding elements such as naming, logos, and fonts, combined with broader historical and cultural research, led to a completely new brand development with a concept that tells a story, gives the venue character, and thus sets it apart from the competition. This concept is meant to be consistently, implementable in the long term and should become permanently established.
