a split second of fame

My work stages fame as a constructed illusion I deliberately step into, using my own image to test how easily recognition can be manufactured and believed. By placing myself within the visual language of advertising and celebrity, I aim to create a “split second of fame”—a moment where the viewer questions whether they know me. I then extend this gesture by turning my image into an object for sale, confronting the loss of ownership that comes with visibility. Positioned between desire and self-exploitation, my practice exposes the dark pleasure of being seen and the cost of offering oneself up to be consumed.
