‘Create’ is the name under which Ri Oost creates her participatory work, centered around performance art. Inspired by Happenings (1957) and Fluxus (1960s), Ri uses performance art to evoke embodied learning; learning from new experiences grounded in movement.
“I believe that exploring the movements of our bodies, focusing on the here and now, is enormously fruitful in discovering wisdom about ourselves and our surroundings.”
‘Café Connect’ is a philosophical and social work about the role of media in human connection. Departing from the current situation of large-scale loneliness, the work focuses on the positive, finding creative ways to address the situation. ‘Café Connect’ invites people to perform everyday movements and actions with a disruption. The performances are little adventures, exploring the questions: What is rich human connection? And how can our phones be a tool to connect?

Fundamental to the participatory work, the documentary ‘Connected’ provides deeper insight into what role media plays in human connection. This documentary will be screened at the graduation show and will be available on youtube from the 6th of July, named; CONNECTED (short docu)
