Bodemspraak

Carlijne Mulder (2004) is an illustrator living and working in Groningen.
She prefers to work analog, using monoprints, pencil, chalk and ink, and then
processes these analog textures digitally. You're encouraged to interpret her work in any way you like. Sometimes you have to make a little effort to find your own meaning in her work.

'Bodemspraak' is Carlijne’s first book. In it, she addresses what she considers
an underrepresented topic: soil conditions. She does this by giving the soil
a voice. 'Bodemspraak' discusses the importance of and the path to healthy soil in an accessible way.
She is graduating from Academie Minerva as an illustrator with this children’s book.
