Britt’s project revolves around the revaluation of authentic printmaking in a world that is becoming more and more digital.

During her research and creative process, she explored traditional printing techniques and the ways printed matter was produced in the past. By making these techniques more accessible and easier to understand, she aims to show that printmaking is not just something from the past, but still relevant and inspiring for everyone today.

With her project, Britt mainly focuses on young makers. She wants them to experience how enjoyable it is to work with their hands and engage creatively without a screen. In a time when more and more activities take place digitally, analogue making offers space for focus, experimentation, and tactility. By printing themselves, people not only discover a craft, but also a different way of creating, thinking, and observing. The process of making plays an important role in this: experimenting, making mistakes, and starting over are all essential parts of the creative process.

By making printmaking accessible to different audiences, Britt demonstrates that this form of creating is truly for everyone. She lowers barriers by sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm in a playful and approachable way. This allows people to discover for themselves how versatile, creative, and surprising printmaking can be. Not only the final result is important, but especially the experience of making itself and the joy of working with physical materials.

Through her passion for analogue printmaking, Britt inspires others to start creating themselves and experience the power of craftsmanship. She shows that traditional techniques still have a valuable place within today’s digital society and can continue to inspire new generations.
