Can you imagine?

I tend to overthink. I catch myself wondering about imagination, beliefs, memory and whether Sebastian should have accepted her on Facebook. What people think they share. And what they don’t.

“Can you imagine?” focuses on the spectrum of mental imagery and the way imagination shapes memory, emotion and the communication between people. Asking whether people can truly share an experience if their internal perception is fundamentally different?

Rather than focusing on fixed diagnoses, the project attempts to measure the unmeasurable. Drawing from philosophy, psychology, post-Soviet and internet culture, I ask how internal experiences can be translated into visual forms that can be observed, questioned, and discussed.

I try to understand if experiences can ever be shared or if we simply assume they can every time someone asks:

Do you have an inner monologue?

Is it reading this text to you?
