Chain of memory
Can you imagine a future without looking back at your roots?
This question lies at the center of Anna Trefilova’s art practice. Working across painting and ceramics, she moves fluidly between mediums, often combining them into hybrid forms. Born in Ukraine, Anna draws on fragments of memory, family narratives, and inherited histories—treating them as both material and method.
Through her work, she explores the line between imagination and reality. Memories are reshaped into forms that feel both deeply personal and unfamiliar. What is remembered and what is imagined begin to shift, overlap, and blur into one another.
Her work does not offer clear answers. Instead, it creates a space where identity feels open and evolving—something continuously shaped and reshaped.
