Never Odd or Even

We all know that a train may have a starting point (A) and an ending point (B); however, it doesn’t simply end at B – it turns around and returns to A, seemingly repeating the cycle anew. The vehicle sustains its unbroken motion, while passengers inside are stripped of any sense of active direction-they move through the train, yet they go nowhere in particular.  A journey powered by one’s thoughts circling through the past, present, and future without resolution. Can a train move beyond its original route without derailing?

This project consists of two parts: a picture book and ceramic train installation.
