The moments moving
Life is full of chaotic, layered moments, all unfolding simultaneously, and it’s within these moments that I find my work. I'm drawn to the unique properties of materials, exploiting them in a handmade quality, using light, color, and texture to capture the essence of life’s complexity. My work explores the multifaceted nature of living—how each event, each experience, overlaps and intertwines, often unnoticed in the chaos. I focus on the material properties of it all. Through my practice, I aim to isolate and highlight these moments, allowing alternative images and ideas to emerge. Whether it’s the light of the day, the conversation we share, or the lighter side of a shadow, I focus on capturing the fleeting moments we might overlook. I see my art as a way to suspend time, to hold all these layers together, and offer a glimpse into what might be missed. Perhaps, if we pause and look closely enough, we can find clarity in the madness—a silver lining in the chaos. I make to hold it all together, to explore what connects these moments, and to find meaning in the overlaps, directing chaos.
