Where the walls breathe

Khashayar’s practice moves across film, performance, and research, tracing the body as a site of memory, displacement, and desire. Rooted in theatre and reshaped through queer theory, their work uses storytelling to hold contradictions—intimacy and distance, visibility and erasure, longing and resistance. Through fragmented narratives and gestures, they embrace in-betweenness, challenging fixed definitions and boundaries as social constructs open to change. Khashayar seeks moments where the personal becomes political, and where language falters—creating space for what cannot be fully articulated, but still insists on being felt.
