As an artist/(educator), I explore alternatives for communal living, acknowledging the interdependence and interconnectedness of all (non)-humans. In my practice, I facilitate environments that foster collectivity, grounded in care and deep listening. Through a process of meaningful collaboration and embodied practices, projects manifest as videos, installations, performances, or texts. Together, I wish to dream of possible futures, experience the power of community, and question the systems that are in place today. Rather than giving answers, I like to create space for curiosity, playfulness, and exploration.
During the graduation show, Bean, Lotte D’Ailly, Cynthia Celeste, Nikita Chistov, Laura Hofman, and I will carry out a performance shaped by our collective exploration of care and healing. It is the harvest of our weekly meetings, where we’ve held each other, played with sand, slowed down and listened, got our feet muddy at the Wadden Sea, and explored making sound together. Alongside this performance, I will present a video in which I explore the lovely messiness and ambiguity of relationships, a personal research into the in-betweens.
