A Letter To My Past

Adam Balogh’s auto-ethnographic practice focuses on storytelling and empathy to create safe spaces for connection. He believes in the power of sharing stories and the healing that comes from being heard, though such actions are often intangible. His activism thrives in building queer communities and collaborating with those whose creative practices reflect their identities. Adam’s work includes poetry, letterwriting, graphic design, and small handmade pieces that preserve the essence of daily encounters. As a designer, Adam had to take a step back from commercialised aesthetics and the colonial idea of perfect art and cherish real stories coming from real encounters.

The installation 'A Letter To My Past' serves as a safe space to sit down, connect and engage in dialogs or take a deep breath, reflect on the self and share a story.
