Sarah Dekker, the mastermind behind Moonloops, began her career in her cozy bedroom.
With a lived-in guitar and a clear voice, she writes autobiographical indie pop songs that capture the complex uncertainty of growing up.

With nearly 10,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, Moonloops has outgrown the bedroom and is
ready to share her stories with the world. After a successful Pop Round, she released her first studio album “Little Astronaut, Big Dreams” in January 2024. This album explores themes of home, loneliness, friendship, misunderstanding and love with magical songs that stay in the mind.
With her new album under her belt, Dekker reflected on the past few years. Back on earth after a period with her head in the clouds, a new chapter began in her life about personal growth. The result is her new album “an inch left to go,” consisting of 7 songs written during different phases of her career. This concept album, full of metaphors about nature and a more 'earthy' sound, was hybrid recorded in her
bedroom and with Tom Broshuis (Mr. Mississippi). As a result, the record feels both personal as well as grand.
'An inch left to go' shows a new, more mature side of Moonloops, exploring themes such as self-sabotage, comparison, expectation and transformation. Both her DIY roots and her big dreams are reflected in this new chapter of her growth as a young adult and musician.
