Location
The locations Kunstruime Block C, SIGN, Pictura, ARTisBOOK and Academie Minerva will show new works by artists inspired by the theme of failure and falling, under the title Fall: Five Fails - New Works after Bas Jan Ader. The exhibition will take place from 19 September to 16 October.
In the Koepelzaal of Academie Minerva, Fine Art students present new works inspired by two central themes in Ader's oeuvre: falling and failure.

- Kunstruimte Block C: Lily Dollner
- SIGN: Sverre van der Velde and Bernardo Zanotta (curator), with the latter also curating Oded Rimon, Danai Belosinof and Adele Dipasquale
- ARTisBOOK: Karin Iturralde Nürnberg
- Academie Minerva (Koepelzaal, Praediniussingel): eleven third-year students – Bella du Toit, Yaga Piątek, Fardau Visser, Beniamin Visarion, Johanna Land, Shervin Atighehchi, Gillian Heinsohn, Julius Joplin, Johnny Groenteman, Nina Klaasing and Nastja Keks
In addition to the exhibitions, there is a public programme:
- At SIGN, there will be reading and writing sessions by Bernardo Zanotta on 4 and 11 October, and a film programme compiled by Sverre van der Velde on 26 September.
The Fall 2025: Bas Jan Ader Revisited
This is a part of The Fall 2025: Bas Jan Ader Revisited - a collective tribute by art institutions in Groningen to pay homage to artist Bas Jan Ader (1942-1975). In exhibitions, performances and public activities, artists and students explore the themes of fall and failure, central to his work.
Collaboration with Academie Minerva, ARTisBOOK, Kunstruimte Block C, Groninger Museum, Pictura, SIGN and Stichting Gedeelde Verhalen.
