Beneath the Blossoming Mushrooms
I paint, sculpt, film, and write. I create small worlds where someone can get lost, and, in that, find themselves again.
My practice is rooted in my heritage and folklore, which I use as a starting point to explore and retell stories.
By combining these mediums, I try to give form to the ideas in my head, to share them, to start conversations, to provoke, and to draw people into my worlds.
My work often takes on imagined or unfamiliar settings, but it is grounded in real human behavior and the systems we live in. I’m interested in how people relate to one another, and how structures shape, distort, and sometimes fail them.
