"Kiki Wagemaker is a product designer who challenges the unspoken rules of adult life. She is drawn to the tension between what is considered appropriate and what is simply enjoyable — and designs from that friction.
Adults don't stop playing because they outgrow it. They stop because the world around them gradually stops making room for it. Kiki responds to this with objects and systems that resist a single correct use, inviting the people around them to touch, reconfigure, and make them their own. Every interaction becomes a small act of authorship.
Her work is rooted in modularity — not as an aesthetic, but as an attitude. Flexible, open-ended, and designed to evolve with the person using it. Her graduation project brings this together in a system that creates space for play within everyday adult life."
