Het Triggermuseum

At the age of three, Ksenija fled the war in Azerbaijan, only to have to wait 28 years for a passport in the Netherlands. She grew up without a father and amidst violence. When she sought to heal her traumas, she did not find solace in drink, drugs or partying. She found it in love, until her boyfriend died. What followed was a deep, reflective and triggering process, in which she became aware of the evil in the world and her own part in sin. This led Ksenija to an encounter with God, Who freed her from her war trauma in a single night.

The Trigger Museum is a framed jumble of human suffering, focusing on contrasts such as the spiritual struggle between good and evil, truth and lies, love and fear, and Biblical wisdom that may be perceived as triggering in today’s climate.

Ksenija celebrates authenticity, recites words to the glory of God, and shakes up the established order of aesthetics, assumptions and (pop)cultural habits just a little. All with the aim of bringing humanity closer to God through worship.
