no MATTER'
No matter - Nothing matter - Everything matter
Maja Sadłowska works across installation, sound, and scenographic environments, creating systems that explore perception, instability, and emotion through movement, material, and sound feedback.
No Matter is a performative installation about chaos, perception, and the human need to escape. Inspired by ideas of dark matter and black holes, the work reflects on what can be seen, what remains hidden, and the desire to seek the invisible as a response to uncertainty and hopelessness.
The installation is built as an interconnected system of sound, movement, water, and mechanical feedback. These elements operate in continuous cycles, creating an environment that slowly changes over time and also stays the same. Sound acts as an invisible force, creating connections between all elements.
Inspired by theatrum mundi, the work frames the space as a stage where everything is connected within a larger structure. Referencing aspects of the Futurist movement such as machinery, noise, and repetition, No Matter moves away from ideas of violence and instead approaches chaos as a constant and neutral condition, where destruction exists without aggression.
